The summer edition of the highly popular Filey Food Festival will take place on the Crescent Gardens and Evron Centre on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August. Around seventy stalls will sell everything from award winning Yorkshire food, to lobster, crab and caviar! A particular highlight is the fizz and oyster stall. There will be the usual international offering, with Polish sausages rubbing shoulders with Jamaican patty’s.

At the spring Food Festival, when we eventually tore ourselves away from the oysters and fizz, we were astonished with the fabulous gourmet scotch eggs that were on sale in the gardens outside the Belle Vue. Who would have thought that you could use the words gourmet and scotch egg in the same sentence. They were absolutely stunning.
