From your table at the White Lodge, you can enjoy one of the finest views from any restaurant in Britain. The sweeping views over Filey Bay are almost enough to distract from the fine dining, but not quite, as the newly appointed chefs are creating seasonal menus with high-quality ingredients. Their partnership with H.G. Lovitt’s Fish Merchants of Filey is particularly notable.

From afternoon teas to Sunday lunches and fine dining in the evening, it is fabulous to see the White Lodge restaurant thriving. Walk on The Crescent on an evening and the sight of white clothed tables and sparkling silverware is a joy to behold.

Even more of a joy is the well-curated and thoughtfully presented wine list. All the usual suspects are present, along with a good range of champagnes, a couple of pudding wines and a digestif or two. Simply marvellous.
