Filey’s mystery crocheter has produced another seasonal cracker for the post box. As the twelfth day of Christmas came and went, under cover of dark, the festive knitted extravaganza that had surmounted the post box disappeared, to be replaced by a winter themed number.

We are a little worried about the Robin. The corner is a favourite hang-out for the local seagulls. There is seemingly always a gull standing on top of a parked car staring intently into CJ’s chip shop. Will they see the robin as a threat to their turf? Will the Filey Woollen Banksy regret incorporating a robin into the post box hat? Only time will tell.
