Unfortunately, the hugely popular Filey Folk Festival, which was due to take place during the first bank holiday weekend of May, has been cancelled due to the ongoing Corona virus outbreak.

The announcement has been made with a heavy heart by its voluntary committee, but they were left with little choice given the fact that the majority of events take place in tightly packed pubs. Additionally, the Evron Centre, and venue for the headline acts, has been closed by Scarborough Council.

It is a devastating blow for the small committee who have worked hard to put together an eye-catching line up. However, over the weekend of 11/12/13 September, the committee are organising a rescheduled event that will bring the headline acts booked for the folk festival into the town.
