Walk into Sterchi’s and you are transported back into another age. That might be the Edwardian heyday of Filey, Sterchi’s has, after all, been producing high-quality chocolates since 1919; or it could simply be the chocolate shop of your childhood dreams.

The beautiful shop is filled with the wonderful aroma of chocolate, it’s impossible not to be tempted by the array of chocolates on display behind the glass counter.

All the products are made on the premises and are based on the original recipes/methods with new ideas introduced to broaden the range to keep in with modern tastes. Sterchi’s chocolates are moulded using traditional methods and are individually hand dipped so no two chocolates are the same.

The company was first created by Mr Sterchi who was born in Arosa, Switzerland and came to Filey before the First World War.
