October Food Festival
After a successful, and safe, return in August, the Filey Food Festival is being hosted in the Crescent Gardens on the weekend of Saturday 10th October and Sunday 11th October. There will be thirty-five stalls with products from around the world, including some of Yorkshire’s finest producers.
Chris Elley and his team have pulled out all the stops to ensure that the event goes ahead, with a one way system in place, stewards to ensure that visitor numbers are kept manageable and increased distancing between stalls (the number of stalls has been reduced from 68 to 35). To enter the stalls in the Evron Gardens, visitors are asked to use the entrance beside the Post Office, for the Crescent Gardens entry will be at the Belle Vue end and exit at the Crescent Hill.
In line with the latest advice from North Yorkshire County Council, it is advisable, but not mandatory, to wear face masks in busy areas, even outdoors.
Once again, let’s hope that the Clerk of the Weather casts a kindly eye over the town and that the final food festival of the year of is a roaring, and safe, success.
